Finley River Chapter Sportsmans Weekend!!!
Items needed: Sleeping bag, normal toiletries for staying in a bunk house, work clothed and gloves.
Optional Items needed: Shot gun, archery equipment, 22 rifles
We will meet in Springfield at the KUM&GO on Battlefield and West bypass around 5pm Friday night the 21st. Returning by 2pm on the 23rd.
The agenda for the weekend is to multi task. We have been blessed with this FREE house to call our base camp for the 2nd year. Friday night will simply be a social night around the campfire with a campfire meal.
Saturday morning we will focus on camp chores. Getting several items cleaned up or repaired around the house and grounds. Saturday afternoon we will set up for some sportsman challenges. Skeet shooting, archery shooting, and .22 plinking. We will very likely break out the new 300 Black Out for the guys to have a few shots. (IITS SWEET!!!) With the FRC boys, you know there will be a competition, and the "TOP GUN" will receive a prize!!!
Saturday night will be worth the trip. I have several ELK BACKSTRAPS that we will cut up to fry with all the trimmings. Very likely the best meal of the year.
Sunday morning we will finish any of the projects we started and tidy up the place. Ending with a campfire time.
Dads are welcomed and encouraged to attend. We could use the extra hands and project supervision. We might even have a DADS CHALLENGE to entertain the boys.
