The CTO Northside chapter is a youth hunting and fishing club for boys and young men age 7-20 serving the north Springfield area. We are "Building Men, Preserving our Heritage and Sharing our Faith."  Go with us on real hunting and fishing trips and other exciting outings - including the coolest Summer Camps in the world!

Meet the Northside Chapter Outfitter: Mark Knight

Mark Knight grew up in a Christian home as a preachers kid, where his father started new Christian Churches so he moved about every two years. He graduated from Rogers Arkansas in 1973 where he started working in construction for several years which led to working for the Missouri Department of Transportation, where he retired early in 2010. Mark has been married to Vicki for 10 years and together they have a son, two daughters, seven grandchildren and one great grandson. Mark currently has a small lawn mowing business which provides him the opportunity to pursue his love for the outdoors. Mark met CTO Missouri State Director, Kirk Bouse at his church and began volunteering for CTO in 2015. Then in January of 2018 Mark felt the call to become the new CTO Missouri Northside Chapter leader.

    CTO's Springfield & Northside Chapters have teamed up to offer an all-girls afternoon at the Springfield Rod and Gun Club from 2-5 on Sunday, September 24th. Don't miss this opportunity to sharpen your skills or to just get started shooting guns. At a minimum we will have trap rounds as well as target shooting with scoped .22s at the rifle range. Depending on our turn out we may also do some other target shooting. The afternoon will start with a devotional and a lesson on gun safety. Once we are done we will divide into groups and start rotations through the range. All shooters will be required to wear hearing & eye protection. You can bring your own if you have it, but we will also have it available for those who need it. We will continue through rotations until 5:00 pm. Light snacks will be provided during the event. This event is for all levels of experience and interest. You do not need to be a CTO member. Parents/guardians are welcome, but we ask that you limit it to one guest per attendee. Gate will open at 1:30 pm. Follow the drive to meet at the clubhouse.

    CTO's Springfield & Northside Chapters have teamed up to offer rifle practice for fall hunts. If you are registered to attend a fall rifle hunt with any Missouri CTO group, you are invited to practice your rifle skills on Sunday, October 1st from 4-6 pm at the Springfield Rod & Gun Club. Open site and scoped .22 rifles will be available to practice from 25-100 yards. 

    There will be a lesson on our Tic Tac Toe method for aiming at this event as well.
