WISCONSIN YOUTH DEER HUNT DETAILS:
WHO: Boys ages 8 to 15
WHEN:
October 8th - 10th
DROP OFF:
4:30-5:00pm on Friday Evening at The Clark's.
(Events will start at 5:00 including a meal for the kids)
PICK UP:
4:00pm Sunday Evening at The Clark's.
COST:
$75
WHAT TO BRING:
- A DEER TAG!!! If you do not have a tag and would like help getting one, please let as know ASAP and we can walk you through it online. If you don't bring a tag, you can't kill a deer.
- Sleeping Bag/Bedding & pillow
- Orange Coat, Pants, Hat, Gloves (or Camo coat with an orange vest)
- Hunting Boots
- Warm Clothes and socks
- Camp Chair
- Clean clothes for each day
- PJ's
- Toiletries (tooth brush, tooth paste, deodorant, etc...
- Towel/Wash Cloth
Extras to consider: Face paint, binoculars, Water bottle...
Please check the weather to help make good choices on clothing/outerwear.
Make sure to have layers of clothing as it will be very cold for the morning hunts. It is better to dress too warm than not be warm enough)
PLEASE HAVE ALL CLOTHES WASHED WITH A SCENT BLOCKING LAUNDRY SOAP SUCH AS "Scent Killer" or "Dead Down Wind".
Deer will smell us before they see us so this is an important part of this hunt to insure every kid has a good chance at filling their tag and their hunting buddy as well!
This outing includes: all meals from supper on Friday through Lunch on Sunday, snacks and lodging in the bunk houses for 2 nights. The kids will also get a CTO shirt.
Kids may bring personal snacks or snacks for sharing but they will be kept in the kitchen with access throughout the day except close to meal times.
Guns and ammo will be provided.
